RESPONSIBLE USE BY DESIGN

Human Accountability.
Purpose-Limited Data.
Visible Control.

Crucifer uses technology to improve explanation, practice, evaluation and knowledge production without removing human responsibility or treating learner data as an unrestricted development resource.

Human Academic Accountability

Faculty Responsibility

Instructors and authorized academic leaders remain accountable for teaching, progression, remediation, assessment interpretation and release decisions.

AI as Support

AI may assist with visualization, practice, question variation, teach-back and workflow efficiency; it does not replace accountable academic judgment.

High-Stakes Decisions

Admissions, scholarships, progression, certification and disciplinary outcomes are not released solely on the basis of an unreviewed automated output.

Explainability and Review

Material decisions are supported by documented criteria, review routes and appropriate human escalation.

Fairness and Accessibility

Systems are reviewed for avoidable bias, inappropriate barriers and reasonable accommodation requirements without weakening essential competency standards.

Learner Data Principles

  1. 01

    Stated Purpose

Collect and use data only for communicated educational, support, security, research or opportunity-related purposes.

  2. 02

    Appropriate Legal Basis

Use consent, contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest or another applicable basis as required by the processing context and jurisdiction.

  3. 03

    Data Minimization

Collect only the information reasonably required for the stated purpose and access it through role-based controls.

  4. 04

    De-identification and Aggregation

Where learning patterns are studied, use de-identified or aggregated information wherever reasonably possible and protect against re-identification.

  5. 05

    No Shared-Model Training by Default

Learner or customer content is not used to train a shared external model unless separately authorized, legally supported and governed through defined controls.

  6. 06

    Opportunity-Specific Consent

Graduate information is shared for a WITT opportunity only when the candidate is eligible, appropriately informed and has consented to that use.

  7. 07

    Retention and Deletion

Retain information only for the approved purpose and applicable period, then delete or anonymize it under the relevant policy and legal requirements.

Approved Learning Assets

PAWS development may use curriculum, scripts, assessment structures and other learning assets only where Crucifer has the right and authority to use them.

Governed Learning Insight

Learning insight may inform design only through an approved research or product-development purpose with appropriate minimization, de-identification, security and oversight.

No Automatic Permission

Enrolment in the Academy does not itself authorize unrestricted use of a learner's identity, voice, likeness, private work or personal data for model training.

Published Controls

Any materially different use is described through the applicable privacy notice, consent process, research protocol or customer agreement before it occurs.

Approved Knowledge & Generated Media

Authorized Sources

Source materials must be approved for use by Crucifer, the customer or the relevant rights holder.

Human Review

Qualified reviewers check factual accuracy, sequence, suitability and release readiness.

Voice and Likeness

A person's voice, image or likeness is used only with explicit, auditable authorization.

Traceability

Outputs retain appropriate source, version, reviewer and approval records.

Disclosure

Generated or synthetic media uses appropriate provenance, watermarking or contextual disclosure.

Misuse Prevention

Controls address unauthorized impersonation, prohibited content, unapproved reuse and access outside the permitted purpose.

Security, Questions
& Concerns

01

Security

Access control, authentication, environment separation, monitoring, incident response and deletion controls are applied according to the information and system risk.

02

Questions

Learners, customers and partners can request clarification on how their information is used.

03

Concerns

Privacy, responsible-AI, accessibility and academic concerns can be submitted through defined review and escalation channels.

How The Principles Apply

Academy

AI supports explanation, practice and workflow efficiency; faculty remain accountable for teaching, progression, remediation and award decisions.

01

WITT

Candidate information is used for a defined opportunity, shared with appropriate consent and not sold or reused as a general recruitment database.

02

PAWS

Development uses approved knowledge assets and appropriately governed information; learner enrolment is not blanket permission for model training.

03

RAISE

Future enterprise work is governed by the agreed scope, customer controls, security requirements and enterprise-ownership framework.

04

PRINCIPLE: Capability does not create permission. Data, content, voice, likeness and opportunity access remain governed by purpose, authorization and accountable review.
